Now, we're already into the real stuff.
A funny thing happens once you get past the very first
level. All players benefit by practicing these exercises,
no matter how good they are. In fact, the better the
player, the more they're doing these!
Same as #1 except use alternate picking and
we're coming back across the neck to where we started, on the
first string. Place your accents properly to create
eighth notes and then for triplets. Have you tried
sixteenths, sixteenth triplets?
I put "D" and "U" to
indicate the use of alternate picking above the top line of
the exercise.
